What is this? Where am I?

I’m Anna. I’m officially a twenty-something (something I’ve been dying to call myself since I was 18). I’m kind of a huge dork. I enjoy talking, singing wildly off-key, and a well-made vodka tonic.

This blog was created as a means for me to motivate myself to read for pleasure (because being an English major really ruined reading as a hobby for me) and to review those books that I read, because if there’s one thing I love about finishing a good book, it’s the fact that I get to tell everyone I know exactly how great of a book it was.

What do you like to read?

I read a little bit of everything, really. Mostly YA fantasy/science fiction. Also adult fantasy/science fiction. Hilarious authors. Sophie Kinsella is definitely my guilty pleasure.

What don’t you like to read?

I tend to get bored with literary fiction at times. I'm not grown up enough to read stuff like that. 

I'm also not a reader that has to finish every book that she's started. Life is too short to read crap. 

Dooliterature?

Yes, about that. It’s a rather clever play on my last name (Doolittle) and the word literature (though I don’t know if the books I plan on reading really count as “literature,” exactly…). My husband is the one who came up with it, and while I hated it at first, I’ve found it’s starting to grow on me.
